UNITY, WI (OnFocus) – Local departments responded to a barn fire on HWY K in Unity at approximately 4:00pm on Friday, May 6. According to an update from Spencer Fire Department, there were no animals inside.
Upon arrival, the barn was collapsed and the grass had also caught fire around the barn, resulting in about 2-3 acres burning. Miscellaneous farm implements were also involved.
Mutual aid was received from Central Fire, Chili Fire, Loyal Fire, Owen-Withee Fire, and Stratford Fire. Property owner was treated on scene for smoke inhalation, but not transported. Barn was a complete loss, as well as various farm implements.
