Two Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Wood County

Wood County Sheriff Release –

In the early morning hours of April 4, 2019, a search warrant was executed in the Town of Saratoga after the Wood County Sheriff’s Department received information in regard to heroin and fentanyl trafficking at a specific residence. The Wood County Sheriff’s Department Special Response Team executed the search warrant where quantities of a white powder material which tested positive for the presence of fentanyl was seized.

Quantities of marijuana, various pills and drug paraphernalia were also seized from the residence. The Wood County Sheriff’s Department was assisted in this investigation by the Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force Team.

Two male subjects were taken into custody as a result of the search warrant and charges will be forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution. Investigation regarding this case is ongoing.

Anticipated charges include:
Possession with intent to deliver Schedule I/II Narcotic
Maintain a Drug Trafficking Place
Possession of THC
Child Neglect
