With the season-ending early, here at OnFocus, we want to help you relive the best games of the 2019-2020 season, below are our top 10 Boys Basketball games of the season.

10) Abbotsford @ Spencer

The Spencer Rockets will appear many times on this list as they had a flair for the dramatic late in the season, and we start with their survival against the Abbotsford Falcons in a regional quarterfinal. This time Spencer would have to survive two last-second shots to move on to a regional semifinal.

9) Chippewa Falls @ Medford

The Medford Raiders took one tough test with a road trip to Division 1 and Big Rivers Champ Chippewa Falls. It was an opportunity for the Raiders to get a good warm-up heading into the playoffs. Medford hung with the Cardinals for most of the game, but Chippewa Falls proved to be too much in the end.

8) Marathon @ Auburndale

The Marathon Red Raiders had an up and down season, but they put on one heck of a show late against the Auburndale Apaches. Down 14 with 4:41 left came back to cut the Auburndale lead to 4, Auburndale was able to hold on and take the win but just barely.

7) Medford @ Mosinee

The first meeting was close as 1st played 2nd in the Great Northern Conference. The Medford Raiders led most of the first half and a good chunk of the second half, but a late comeback by Mosinee gave the Indians the lead with 7:20 remaining. The Raiders took back momentum on the back of Justin Sullivan and got one step closer to a conference title.

6) Edgar @ Auburndale

These two teams split the regular-season game, and the Wildcats had a big lead in a WIAA Regional Final, but the Apaches were not done and made a comeback for the ages.

5) Marathon @ Stratford

The Marathon Red Raiders are known for their 1-3-1 defense, but the Stratford Tigers used that against them to come back from a 13 point deficit and outscore the Red Raiders 36-11 in the final 13:00 in one of the biggest scares they got on their way to an undefeated season.

4) Spencer @ Loyal

The Spencer Rockets played about as bad as they could have in the first half and early in the second half, but the Rockets made a furious comeback including a late bucket by Brett Kasch to take the lead and keep pace with Neillsville to set up our 3rd place game.

3) Neillsville @ Spencer

Coming off the big win over Loyal, the Rockets again faced a deficit this time trailing by as many as nine in the second half. But a string of free throws and a crucial foul got the Rockets a huge win drawing them even with the Warriors, with both teams sharing the conference title.

2) Medford @ Marathon

Normally a double-overtime game would be #1, but there is one that is better. The Raiders came all the way back in regulation after trailing by as many as 15, Logan Bumgartner hit some big threes including one to give Medford the lead with 39 seconds left, Kole Kaldunski would respond with a three of his own with 11 seconds left. The game would stay close through the first overtime, but Medford pulled away in the second overtime to get the early season win.

1) Westfield @ Pittsville

What beats a double-overtime game, how about a buzzer-beater. It was a back and forth game throughout but Matthew Kissner’s little jumper hung on the rim before falling in as time expired to give Pittsville the big win on their way to a sectional semifinal appearance.

Next week we go through the Top 10 Girls Basketball games from the season.
