MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – On this date in 2021, the Common Council voted to hold a hearing with now former mayor Bob McManus over allegations that he withheld records during an April of 2020 open records request.

The complaint eventually resulted in the removal of McManus from office which left the Mayor position vacant up until this point.

Now, exactly one year later, McManus will be appearing at a mayoral forum to try and regain his seat at the helm of the City of Marshfield Common Council. McManus along with Ken Bargender and Lois TeStrake, will answer questions posed to them by a City staff member with a community question period to follow.

The event will be live-streamed at https://www.mfldtv.com/.

The Feb. 15 primary will whittle the three-person field down to two candidates. The Spring Election will then determine whom the next Mayor of Marshfield might be on April 5.
