Titans Coach Mike Vrabel sent a special message to Morgan Gorst, a teen battling glioblastoma who visited the Titans last fall.

Spencer, WI (OnFocus) The Tennessee Titans had a special message for Morgan Gorst, a Spencer teen who has been battling cancer since 2018.

Gorst met his favorite football team and player, quarterback Marcus Mariota, at a Titans practice last November. He received a personal video this week from coach Mike Vrabel thanking him for stopping by.

“I just want you to know that you will always be in our thoughts and our prayers,” Vrabel said in the video. “On behalf of the Titans organization, we can’t thank you enough for being part of our life. You made a difference in our life and our team.”

His mother, Becky, had connected with the Titans to see if a visit was possible while he was still feeling well in case his Make-A-Wish trip to Disney wasn’t possible. “I am so happy I did,” she said. “They were not only wonderful to us but he started to decline after that, so this was his last great experience that he could enjoy fully.”

Spencer schools and the community at large have rallied around Morgan since his Glioblastoma diagnosis in August 2018. Updates on Morgan’s health have been posted to the MorganStrong Facebook page.

This week, the page reported that Morgan would be entering hospice. “He has been such a fighter for us. He loved his family so much that he worked so hard for so long,” his family wrote. “Now it’s time for us to help him and bring him comfort.”
