MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Local weather is supposed to be nice once again this weekend. Here’s some opportunities to get out and enjoy the weather and community:

  1. MAPLE FALL FEST @ WILDWOOD ZOO (Saturday – Sunday) – 
    Schedule of Events:
    Saturday, September 18, 2021
    – 7am – Noon – Breakfast: Regular and potato pancakes with Wenzel’s Farm Maple Sausage. Takeout available! $8 per person. Age 6 & Under FREE!
    – 9am-4pm – Kid’s Zone, Inflatables, Arts & Crafts by Discovery Education Station and Chestnut Center for The Arts, Scavenger Hunt
    – 9am-5pm – 150+ Handmade Arts & Crafts Vendors, Amish Specialties, Maple Village, Maple Syrup Products, Food Court & Beer Garden
    – 10am – Performance by Main Street Conservatory of Dance
    – 10:30am – Performance by Marshfield Youth Ballet
    – 11:30am – Mad Dog & Merrill – “Grillin’ Buddies”
    – 1pm – Performance and dance lessons by the Country Style Dancers
    – 2pm – Wildwood Zoo Tour – Meet at Zoo East Entrance

    – 2pm Zoo Tour – Meet at Zoo East Entrance
    Visit Marshfield is excited to be back and celebrating 29 years of “all things Maple” at the Annual Maple Fall Fest, Saturday and Sunday, September 18h and 19th, 2021 at Wildwood Park. This event will feature over 100 vendors with original artwork, handmade arts and crafts, Amish specialties, The Maple Village, your favorite food vendors, and our beer garden. The festival will also bring back favorites Mad Dog and Merrill “Grillin’ Buddies,” and family-focused fun for all ages. Don’t forget our legendary Potato Pancake Breakfast served each day.
    Due to guidance and recommendations from Wood County Health officials, there will not be a Maple Syrup of Maple Dessert contest at this year’s festival in order to ensure the health and safety of the show attendees and vendors.
  2. ART IN THE PARK (Saturday) – The 51st Art in the Park will take place on September 18, 2021.  It is held at Pfiffner Pioneer Park in downtown Stevens Point, along the banks of the Wisconsin River.  The outdoor setting is held rain or shine. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and has activities for people of all ages.
  3. PRESS PLAY ON ADVENTURE (Thursday and Saturday) – Join us for a special event for girls and their families. Try out some awesome activities, and learn about joining Girl Scouts for a whole year of adventures like camping, science experiments, field trips, art, and friendship! Please bring an adult parent or caregiver to join in the fun. Some fun things that will be available to experience that day are:
    – Build an escape tower.
    – Try out fingerprinting science.
    – Make a secret code bracelet.
    and more.
    There are two events available in the Marshfield area. The Auburndale event will start at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at Auburndale Park and the Marshfield event will begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday at Griese Park.
