Three Things to do This Weekend: Oct. 15, 16, 17

MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – As we near Halloween, we are beginning to see some spooky and fun events popping up in the area. Here’s what’s happening this weekend:

  1. AUBURNDALE SCHOOL FOREST PUMPKIN GLOW (Saturday) – The Auburndale School Forest will once again be transformed into a spooky, yet fun display of Halloween spirit.The second annual Pumpkin Glow will be held on Saturday, Oct. 16 starting at 5 p.m.

    Participants can walk through ADA accessible trails while viewing the over 100 carved pumpkins on display throughout the forest.

    Glow-in-the-dark rocks and tiki torches will also help illuminate the forest. The corn maze will also be available to walk through with an interactive map available to assist you through the maze.

    The event is free but donations are accepted. All proceeds from the event will go towards Toys for Tots and school organizations.

    A bonfire, concessions and other fun activities will accompany the glow. Check out the event’s Facebook page for more information.

    Auburndale High School Agriculture Teacher and event coordinator Mark Cournoyer said last year’s event was a huge success and it’s only getting bigger and better for this year with more trails and activities.

  2. 2021 MARSHFIELD ZOMBIE PUB CRAWL – (Saturday) – 10th anniversary of the Annual Marshfield Zombie Pub Crawl!
    *Participating locations are: BlueHeron BrewPub, Nutz Deep II, The Swamp Bar, Goodfellas Pub, PeeWee’s Bar, Bey’s Bar, Jack’s Bar and The Spot Sports Bar and Grill. The Crawl moves from South to North on Central Ave.
    *Everyone is responsible for themselves: actions, drinks, costumes.
    *Please stick to the sidewalks and crosswalks when moving from bar to bar.
    *We are not responsible for anything (or anyone) lost, stolen or damaged.
    *Please be kind to your fellow zombies and non-zombies.
    *Participate at your own risk.
    *Participants must be of legal drinking age (21+) with valid identification.
    *Covid-19:This event is participate at your own risk; that includes participating in events such as these during a Pandemic. Be smart and if you are sick or suspect you’re sick stay home.
  3. FIRE SAFETY MONTH CRAFT & VENDOR EVENT (Saturday) – This event is held to support the Richfield Fire Dept. The crafts and vendors will be aplenty at the Richfield Municipal Building at 8478 Richfield Dr. at the corner of County Road A. and Richfield Dr.The event will go from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will have activities as well as many crafts and vendors. 19 vendors and crafters will be in attendance.
