Three Animal Rescues to Benefit During Pet Supplies Plus Opening

Customers Can Vote for Winning Organization This Weekend

MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – As Pet Supplies Plus celebrates with a Grand Opening this weekend, the local business will also be giving back to the community.

“With every purchase during the Grand Opening Weekend, each neighbor will receive a voting chip to vote for their favorite Grand Opening Partner” explained Kim Crawford, Store Team Lead. “The Grand Opening Partner with the most voting chips at the end of Sunday the 17th will receive the $1,000 prize and the other two will get $250 for participating in the Grand Opening Weekend.”

Visitors can choose from Marshfield Area Pet Shelter (MAPS), Clark County Humane Society, and Marshfield Police Department’s K9 Unit, all of which will have representatives at the store to explain more about their respective missions.

“MAPS is excited to work with another wonderful business partner in our community,” said Karen Rau, MAPS Executive Director. “Our lifesaving work is community driven; meaning it takes a lifeline of people from volunteers, adopters, donors and business supporters to fulfil our mission for homeless animals. Without them our work would not be possible.”

This opening weekend celebration is just the beginning for Pet Supplies Plus’s philanthropic efforts.

“Pet Supplies Plus is hometown-focused, down to earth, knowledgeable, and caring. We genuinely care about the community and their pets,” said Crawford. “We look forward to partnering with the humane society, dog parks and other animal welfare groups locally. We are working with local shelters to have adoptable animals in store, too. We’re excited to be here!”

In addition to bringing the Marshfield area community a full line pet supplies store, Pet Supplies Plus will also provide live animals, a grooming salon, and a pet wash room for anyone to utilize.

Pet Supplies Plus will provide full professional grooming services, which are much needed in the Marshfield area. The staff at The Laundromutt, formerly located at 912 S Central Avenue, have joined the Pet Supplies Plus team with owner Cicely Steinmetz assuming the role of Salon Leader.
