Thorp Football Preview: ‘Win the Day’ Motto Key to Cardinals’ Success

Thorp (OnFocus) – It’s been a long wait for football fans and football teams to start the 2020 season. The wait is finally over, and the season is now here.

We take a look at the Thorp Cardinals with our Season Preview. We reached out to Coach KD Stokes for some thoughts on this football season, giving us a glimpse into how the    Cardinals are getting ready for this year.

OnFocus: How has your coaching staff and team prepared for this season?

Stokes: Our mantra has always been Win The Day, with today’s every changing time we have tried to focus on the day and do our best at controlling what we can control.

OnFocus: What are some positives that have come out of practice and the season being delayed?

Stokes: Aiden Rosemeyer and Jack Syryczuk have been great leaders for our ball club.  They have done a good job of showing the young guys the way we do things here in Year 2 of our program. Dylan Neisius, Reed Mertens, and Ayden Webster have given us great stability and leadership in the trenches!

OnFocus: Season forecast – What should fans expect to see out of your team this year?

Stokes: Aiden Rosemeyer has the ability to be very solid QB.  His calmness in stressful situations give him a chance to be special.  The Kroeplin Brothers, Logan and Ashton have the ability to take it to the house every touch.  Young guys like Logan Hanson, Denzel Sutton, and Ray Harwick are being counted on to grow up fast and add juice to this ball club.  Bradley Hempleman has grown by leaps and bounds at LB.
