Abbotsford’s Ryan Gunderson is a fan-favorite no matter what the sport, and Gunderson can be found at Abbotsford sporting events cheering on fellow Falcons every chance he gets.

We took time to have ‘Gundy’ complete our world-famous interview, ‘Pancakes or Waffles?’ to learn more about what makes Gunderson ‘tick.’

OnFocus: What classes are you taking this year?

Gunderson: Gym, Woodworking, Cooking Class, Science, English, Math, Horticulture, Construction 101.

OnFocus: What is your favorite class?

Gunderson: Gym.

OnFocus: What are your hobbies?

Gunderson: Hunting, Hanging with friends, sports.

OnFocus: Who is/was your favorite teacher?

Gunderson: Mr. Larson.

OnFocus: What is the most unusual food you have eaten?

Gunderson:  Spaghetti. I hate it.

OnFocus: What is your favorite music to listen to?

Gunderson: Country.

OnFocus: What are your plans after high school?

Gunderson: Work at Project Search and come back to help coach football.

OnFocus: If they made a movie about you, and your life, what would it be called?

Gunderson: ‘The Boys are Back.’

OnFocus: What other sports do you play?

Gunderson: Football and Basketball.

OnFocus: Which teammate would you not want to be stranded with on a deserted island?

Gunderson: Christian Ploeckelman.

OnFocus: What is your most memorable moment as an athlete?

Gunderson:  When I hit a buzzer beater against Granton.

OnFocus: Who is your favorite athlete?

Gunderson: Robert Tonyan.

OnFocus: What do you enjoy most about playing home games?

Gunderson: The girls that come to watch me.

OnFocus: What’s the best thing about being a student-athlete at Abbotsford?

Gunderson: It’s fun playing with the guys.

OnFocus: What words of wisdom can you give to other student-athletes?

Gunderson: Stick with the program.

OnFocus: Lastly, pancakes or waffles?

Gunderson: Waffles.
