Overnight Structural Fire in the Town of Rock
Town of Rock (OnFocus) In the midst of a serve thunderstorm warning, local fire departments were dispatched to a structure fire in the Town of Rock around midnight.
The Town of Richfield Fire Department stationed their aerial ladder above the structure to extinguish the blaze.
Hwy 10 was reported closed from County BB to County V in Wood County. As of 6 am this morning, Wood County Sheriff’s department opened eastbound traffic. Crews continue to work the active fire. A local excavating company has provided a backhoe to aid in moving debris.
From the scene, one estimate suggested that over 50,000 gallons of water have been trucked in from area retention ponds.
At this time there is no known cause of the fire nor any reports of human or animal injuries.
