The Stratford Tigers trimmed Edgar in a nonconference battle, 9-8. Formerly rivals in the Marawood, the two squared off in an epic battle.

Kaden Griesmer put Stratford on the scoreboard in the first quarter with a 2 yard run, with the 2 point conversion try no good.

Mattison Butt then  tied the game for Edgar with a 13 yard touchdown, and the two point conversion  put the Wildcats on top 8-6.

The two defenses then took over, stalling drives for opposing offenses until the fourth quarter when Stratford was able to  take the lead with a Noah Barrett field goal.

Both offenses struggled to muster offensive consistency, with Stratford outgaining Edgar 155 yards to 120 yards.
