Stratford girls basketball suffers road loss at Prentice

PRENTICE – The Stratford girls basketball team suffered its first Marawood Conference loss of the season, falling to Prentice 72-50 in a conference crossover game Friday night at Prentice High School.

Prentice (5-2, 4-2 Marawood North) led 42-35 at halftime and double up the Tigers with a 30-15 advantage in the second half to pull away.

Stratford was held to 17 of 46 shooting and 6 of 21 from 3-point range in the loss. The Tigers are now 4-2 overall and 3-1 in the Marawood South standings.

Blaire Lindner had 16 points and seven rebounds, and Callie Lehman added 11 points for Stratford.

Alyssa Schellin had three 3-pointers and scored 21 points to top the Buccaneers.

Stratford plays at Wisconsin Rapids Assumption on Tuesday.
