OnFocus – Regularly scheduled fundraising events for Boys and Girls Clubs and YMCA’s have had to be canceled or go virtual this year, which is one reason why Festival Foods wanted to make sure the annual Turkey Trot tradition continued in 2020.

“Charites like these have had a rough year and are struggling to keep their missions moving forward,” said John Stiloski, Community Involvement Specialist at Festival Foods. “The tradition of the Festival Foods Turkey Tot needed to stay alive even more this year, to help these charities out in a tough year.”

Siloski encourages Marshfield area families to participate this year.

“This is still an event that can be done safely as a family.  COVID may take away some things, but we still need to spend time with the family and live a healthy lifestyle, in a safe way,” he said. “This event offers you those things by being able to do the 2-mile walk or 5-mile run from your home or any route you choose, and you are helping fundraise for the YMCA in Marshfield directly.”

This year, Festival Foods is shipping each participant their package (no in-person packet pickup).

“The package will include your long sleeve t-shirt, coupon for a full size pumpkin pie, buff, coupons, and a chance to win a Subaru Crosstrek from Bergstrom Automotive,” said Stiloski. “We can’t guarantee that your package will get to you by Thanksgiving but we will try our hardest.”
