Stevens Point Schools Cancel Co-curricular Events Through January 16

Re: Status of Co-Curricular and Community Events Friday, January 7- January 16th,
2022

This communication provides information and clarification regarding the status of
co-curricular activities in the Stevens Point Area Public School District January
7-January 16, 2022.

All co-curricular activities scheduled on Friday, January 7 and Saturday, January 8 are  cancelled.

January 10-16, 2022
Elementary Co-Curricular Activities (grades preK-6)
All after school athletic events and clubs are cancelled through January 16, 2022.
Secondary Co-Curricular Activities (grades 7-12)

Seventh and eighth grade athletics and clubs are cancelled through January 16, 2022.
SPASH athletics, grades 9-12, are currently continuing and will be carefully monitored
for concerns related to COVID protocols. This may result in contest or practice
postponements on a team by team basis.

SPASH clubs and the musical production are currently continuing and will be carefully
monitored for concerns related to COVID protocols. This may result in contest or
practice postponements on a club by club basis.

Elementary Field Trips (grades preK-6)
All elementary field trips are cancelled through January 16, 2022. Individual schools
will communicate possible rescheduling as needed.
Secondary Field Trips (grades 7-12)
All secondary field trips through January 16, 2022 are cancelled. Individual schools
will communicate possible rescheduling as needed.
Child Care Programs
Child care programs offered in the schools will continue through the week as
requested by collaborating partners.

Youth Athletic Programs
All youth athletic program practices/events in the schools are cancelled through
January 16, 2022.

Community Events
Community organizations that have rented district facilities through January 16, 2022
are cancelled.
