Spencer, WI (OnFocus) Staff members at Spencer School District are missing having kids in their classrooms while schools are closed due to COVID-19.

To show their support for students, staff will hold a “social distance” parade on April 24 between 11-12 p.m.
“Times are tough and we need to add some brightness to our day, and hopefully your kids’ day as well,” said Becky Gorst, Spencer Community Boosters. “The staff is going to decorate their vehicles and drive through our district to wave at our kids.”
Kids are encouraged to stop at locations along the route and make signs showing their Spencer Rocket pride.
“We’d also love to see the community and area businesses participate in the decorating as well. Please remember to keep a safe distance and mingle only with those in your normal household or circle,” Gorst said. “We hope to see you all and miss you all so much!”
