Spencer/Columbus wrestling drops Cloverbelt dual to Neillsville/Greenwood/Loyal

MARSHFIELD – Neillsville/Greenwood/Loyal won four of the six contested matches to defeat Spencer/Columbus Catholic 48-27 in a Cloverbelt Conference wrestling dual on Thursday night at Columbus Catholic High School.

NGL won five matches by forfeit and Spencer/Columbus earned three forfeit victories to account for 18 of its 27 points.

Spencer/Columbus’ two wins came from Ashton Ackman, who won by pin at 120 pounds, and Carson Hildebrandt, who won 7-5 over Nathan Buchanan at 160.

Sawyer Rachu (170) and Kyler Rakovec (132) won by pin for the Warriors.

Spencer/Columbus will host the Cloverbelt Conference Tournament on Feb. 2 at Spencer High School.
