The Spencer/Columbus Catholic Rockets got their first win of the year with a shutout winning 55-0.
The Rockets would score three touchdowns in the first quarter, first on an Austin Bacon 51 yard TD run. Then Eden Jacobson would run it in from 6 yards out. And to end the quarter Gage Stratman would connect with Bacon on a 34 yard touchdown.
The Rockets would run away and hide after Bacon and Jacobson would put two more rushing touchdowns on the board. First Bacon would punch it in from 1 yard out. Then Jacobson would run one in from 3 yards out. Next Bacon would get back on the board with a 12 yard TD and Jacobson would finish the half off with a 60 yard TD.
Spencer/Columbus would add one more touchdown on a Will Gorst 17 yard run with 5:47 left in the 4th to finish the scoring.
Spencer/Columbus gained 453 yards on the ground with Bacon running for 163 yards and 3 TDs and Eden Jacobson adding 135 yards and 3 TDs.
*** Correction*** Game reports showed a 99 yard TD run early in the 2nd Quarter by Austin Bacon, that was in fact a 1 yard TD run.
