Spencer baseball shuts out Owen-Withee

SPENCER – Tanner Kleinschmidt threw a five-inning complete-game shutout as the Spencer baseball team blanked Owen-Withee 10-0 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup Friday at Spencer High School.

Kleinschmidt struck out three, did not walk a batter, and allowed just one hit to earn the victory and push the Rockets’ record to 7-1 overall and in the Cloverbelt East.

Kleinschmidt also had a double and two RBIs, and Chase Higgins and Brett Kasch each drove in a pair of runs as well for the Rockets.

Spencer’s next game is Tuesday at Pittsville.
