Spencer baseball routs Granton, improves to 6-0

SPENCER – The Spencer baseball team remains perfect, improving to 6-0 overall and in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division, after a 23-2 whitewashing of Granton on Tuesday at Spencer High School.

The game was moved from Granton to Spencer due to poor field conditions in Granton.

Spencer scored 14 runs in the third inning to bust open a close game and keep its lead on top of the Cloverbelt East standings.

Carson Hildebrandt went 3-for-3 and scored three times, and Kyle Bainer, Chase Higgins, Brett Kasch and Hayden Bauman each had three RBIs for the Rockets.

Granton falls to 0-5 overall and 0-3 in the Cloverbelt East.

Spencer plays at Greenwood on Thursday and hosts Owen-Withee on Friday.
