SPASH Boys Win WVC Meet; Pilger(SPASH), Neitzel/Halambeck(DCE) Claim 2 Titles

The Wisconsin Valley Conference Boys Swimming Meet saw the SPASH Panthers take first place, collecting 354 points.

DC Everest was second with 296, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln was third with 288, and Wausau East was fourth aith 190 points.

Marshfield’s Myles Jensen was named the WVC Swimmer of the Year.

Konnor Pilger of SPASH took first in the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle.

The SPASH relay team of Cade Casey, Parker Soik, William Gargluak, and Konnor Pilger won the 200 medley relay.

Brennan Neitzel of DCE claimed first place in the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly.

DCE’s Benjamin Halambeck also took a pair of firsts in the 100 backstroke and 200 IM.

The Marshfield Boys were not able to participate due to a team-wide quarantine issue.

Nathali Jones of Wisconsin Rapids and Derek Steinke of Wausau East were named the WVC Co-Coaches of the Year.
