Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union Raising Funds for Program

Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union (MMCCU) is currently raising funds for the Share-a-Bear program.

Through the program, each child that comes to Marshfield Children’s Hospital for a surgery, procedure, or hospital stay receives a stuffed animal to comfort them throughout their medical treatments.

“I think this fundraiser is worthy because it gives children something to hang onto during a stressful situation,” said Tabitha Forman, MMCCU.

Due to COVID restrictions this year, money can be donated towards the stuffed animal that the children will receive. There are also a limited number of animals for those who actually want to keep a stuffed animal. (The bears themselves will not be returned to the hospital. Funds raised will be used to order animals for children staying in the hospital.)

“Once those are gone, we will still be collecting money to sponsor an animal that the foundation will purchase,” said Forman. “We have 15 small bears and 15 large bears if people are wanting to take the bear with them and just donate the money.”

MMCCU members can purchase a small stuffed animal for $5 or a large one for $10. There are also CU4Kids piggy banks available for just $5. Support a sick or injured child at Marshfield Children’s Hospital, with 100% of your donation going to the cause!
