Security Overhead Door Celebrates 25 Years

Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) Security Overhead Door is celebrating over 25 years in Marshfield.

“​We opened in 1994 because we saw a need in the community for this service,” said Tom Schindler, owner. “The overhead door is the largest moving part on the majority of residential and commercial buildings. When installed correctly and serviced by professionals, over time it will last longer, run efficiently and provide many years of service to the consumer.”

Schindler began the business with his brother Fred, operating with two other technicians. Thanks to a steadily growing customer base, today the business employs five full-time technicians and an office manager. It also underwent an office expansion and added a showroom.

Key individuals to the success of Security Overhead Door were Louis Kadrlik, who was employed with the company for 20 years until retirement, as well as Sue Sossaman, who stayed 13 years until retiring.

The team includes Tim Spindler, with 25 years of experience, and Matt Collins, with 21 years. Others contributing their talents include Doug North (12), Pat Meyer (3), Chad Pagelsdorf (3), Dawn Plath (1).

“We have been fortunate to have such talented and loyal individuals working for our company,” Schindler said.

Involved in countless residential, commercial, and agricultural projects over the years, Security Overhead Door has particularly enjoyed installing doors for many local fire departments, including Loyal, Greenwood, Thorp, Abbotsford, Marathon, Hewitt, Stratford, Arpin, Curtiss, and the Town of McMillan.

“After doing this for 25 years, it is very rewarding to see all of the projects we have completed in our community and all of central Wisconsin,” Schindler said. “The favorite part of my job is providing doors that bring satisfaction and pride to home and business owners. I like helping customers select doors that operate smoothly and which they enjoy seeing every time they drive in their driveway or place of business.”
