S. Oak Avenue to be Reduced to One Lane for Road Project

Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) South Oak Ave. in Marshfield will be reduced to one lane of traffic starting Tuesday, April 28 with an anticipated completion date of Friday, May 29, 2020.

The asphalt overlay project extends from W. 14th Street to Omaha Street. Work will be completed one-half at a time in order to maintain one-way northbound traffic.

The roadwork will consist of replacing failing concrete panels, driveway aprons, crack and joint repair, paving of a new asphalt surface, and painting new pavement markings.

During the project, Oak Ave. will be reduced down to one lane of traffic going in one direction only. Traffic heading north from W. 14th Street will be allowed to use Oak Ave. during the construction project.

Traffic heading south on Oak Ave. from 4th Street will be detoured at Arlington Street. The detour will run west on Arlington St. to Adams Ave., continue south on Adams Ave. to 14th St, and then from 14th St. back to Oak Ave. Other detours may be posted as needed.

Speed will also be reduced to 15 mph. on Oak Ave.
