Reedsville Earns First Football State Title in School History

MADISON, WI (OnFocus) – In the first game of the day at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, WI the Reedsville Panthers defeated the Coleman Cougars by a final score of 17-0.

Reedsville jumped out to a quick, 14-point lead in the first half, getting touchdowns from senior quarterback Brennen Dvorachek and senior running back Westen Liebzeit. The second half consisted of a largely defensive struggle as the two teams combined for three points in the final half.

Liebzeit added the second-half field goal for the Panthers as they ran out the clock on Coleman and took home the gold ball. The 17-0 victory is the

Dvorachek led the Panthers in rushing with 30 carries for 128 yards and a touchdown. Liebzeit carried 11 times for 73 yards and a touchdown.

The Panthers controlled the Coleman ground game as they gave up only 94 yards rushing while running for 254 yards of their own.

Coleman’s leading rusher was junior running back Will Bieber who carried 12 times for 48 yards.

Reedsville dominated the time of possession by over 12 minutes converting eight of 11 third downs to keep the chains moving.
