Rapids Kickers U18 Boys Premier Soccer Earns 1st Place at President’s Cup

WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (OnFocus) – The Rapids Kickers U18 Boys Premier team earned 1st Place in DePere on Monday, May 30th at the President’s Cup.

The President’s Cup is a US Youth Soccer tournament that provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique play highlighting competition, camaraderie, and community from the state to the regional to the national levels of US Youth Soccer.

The U18 Kicker boys won the state title in a series of five games, going undefeated:

  • Saturday 5/21 defeated Rock Soccer Club: 4-0
  • Sunday 5/22 defeated Sun Prairier Soccer Club: 5-2
  • Saturday 5/28 defeated Oshkosh United: 3-1
  • Sunday 5/29 defeated SC Wave Walworth: 3-1
  • Monday 5/30 defeated Oshkosh United in the Championship game: 3-1

The boys will compete for the President’s Cup Midwest title in St. Louis from June 16th – June 27th. They have hopes to compete for the President’s Cup national title which will take place in Greensboro, NC July 7th -10th.

From April 4th – 8th of this year, the team had an opportunity to compete in the Easter International Cup in Orlando, Florida and earned a 2nd place finish. They will be finishing their season at the Target Cup in Blaine MN in July, which is the largest youth soccer tournament in North America. In 2021 they earned a 2nd place finish at this tournament.

The U18 Boys soccer team also is ranked in 1st place and undefeated in their Premier State League with three games remaining in the season.
