FOND DU LAC, WI- The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (14-13) defeated the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (16-10) in 12 innings. The win broke a Rafters three-game losing streak in the first of a two-game series in Fond du Lac.

Ben Schoneman (Colorado School of Mines) started for Wisconsin Rapids twirling four innings of four-hit ball. The Dock Spiders scored two in the fourth to tie the game at two.

The Rafters answered back in the top of the fifth. Couper Cornblum (Wichita State) scored on a passed ball, and a Castillo RBI double scored Weston Eberly (Columbia). The Rafters could not hold the lead with the Dock Spiders scoring on a home run in the eighth before the game-tying run scored in the ninth on a Rafter error.
