MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Buster, a 12-week old Norwegian Elkhound surrendered to Fetch Foster and Rescue after his Femur was broken, has completed surgery and is on the mend.

“He’s snuggling his foster family and laying in his favorite dog bed,” said Brittany Schueller, who is fostering Buster through the rescue. “The surgeon was able to preform the FHO surgery, allowing him to keep his leg! He expects with proper rehabilitation, Buster should have 80-90% of normal motion!”

Donations are still needed to help cover the cost of Buster’s surgery and care. (Donate via PayPal here)

“We are so thankful he could have his procedure done this soon, however it’s over $3,000 (not including follow up care) and that’s a big hit to the rescue’s funds,” said Schueller. “We have raised about half of what’s needed and I really hope we can raise the rest! The more money we raise, the more dogs the rescue can help.”

Fetch Foster and Rescue is a non-profit 501-c3 rescue that saves dogs from euthanasia and poor living conditions. Buster is being fostered right here in Marshfield and needs the community’s help! All donations are tax deductible!
