Port Edwards Girls Finish Regular Season with Win over Tri-County

The Blackhawks finished out their regular season with a 43-26 CWC win over the Tri-County Penguins.  Port Edwards jumped out to a 15-4 lead at the 11:45 mark in the first half and never looked back.

Port was led by Taylor Martin who had 15 of her game high 23 points in the first half, hitting on 3 of 3 from behind the arc in the first half.   Katerina Hamus pulled down 9 rebounds and added 4 assists in the winning effort.

The Penguins were led by Annie Banda with 6 points.

Port finished the regular season with a 4-8 mark in the CWC, 7-11 overall.

The Blackhawks host Greenwood on Tuesday in the first round of the WIAA Girls Basketball Playoffs.
