Halftime: 30-24 Port Edwards
The first half saw Port Edwards jump out to an 18-4 lead by the 12-minute mark behind some hot shooting from Port Edwards.  But then they cooled off as Tigerton stormed back to finish the half only down 6, at 30-24.  The second half saw Tigerton close the gap to just 1, at 34-33 at 13:15, but the Blackhawks were able to extend the lead up 8 at 45-37 at the 8 minute mark.  At the 4 minute mark the Blackhawks were still up 8, 50-42, and 54-46 at 1:11 left in the game.  The Tigers made it close, but the Blackhawks prevailed to a 54-50 finish for their first win of the year.  Port Edwards was led in scoring by Melanie Sillars with a career high of 19 points connecting on 5 3 pointers.  Taylor Martin also had a career night with her first triple-double with 18 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds.
