On February 16, 2020 at 1:10 PM a shooting occurred at 409 Swamp Buck Drive Apartment 6D.
A victim arrived at the Aspirus Hospital in Medford with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was treated and later released. Taylor County law enforcement received information from the victim that he received his injury in Abbotsford.
The Colby-Abbotsford Police Department, Clark County and Marathon County Sheriff’s departments responded to the scene of the shooting. Surveillance cameras showed Carlos Santiago-Gonzalez and Joennval Moctezuma-Torres leaving the shooting scene armed with handguns. Both suspects fled the area in a vehicle that was later recovered.
Neither suspect has been located. Information gathered from witnesses indicate the shooting was isolated, and there is no present danger to the public.
The Colby-Abbotsford Police Department and the Clark County Sheriff’s Office are investigating. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Carlos Santiago-Gonzalez or Joennval Moctezuma-Torres are asked to call 715-223-2313.
