Police Reports: Storage Unit Theft and Tire Slashing

June 9

A 42-year-old Marshfield man contacted Wood Co. Dispatch and reported being hit by a female. When officers spoke to the man he stated he did not wish to report anything. While investigating another incident the man provided more information to this officer that he did not provide to other officers. The allegations the man provided to this officer were looked into and could not be substantiated.

June 11

A 39-year-old Marshfield woman reported that a 37-year-old Marshfield female had taken items from a storage unit and brought them to a local resale shop. The suspect was interviewed and admitted to the items without the victim’s permission. A municipal court citation was issued for the theft. The items were recovered by the victim from the resale shop.

June 13

An 83-year-old Marshfield woman reported a theft of gas. An officer noticed she has made at least two prior complaints of theft of gas. The officer will attempt to follow up with a manager to see if there is video where her car sits or if there is a different location that she could park to put her more at ease.

June 15

A 37-year-old Marshfield woman reported fraudulent charges on her debit card, totaling $890.24. A 16-year-old Marshfield girl was identified as a suspect. Physical evidence was reviewed and the 16-year-old was interviewed. This matter is being referred to Human Services.

A 58-year-old Marshfield man reported that he observed a female with red hair slash the tires of a car in the parking lot of his apartment complex. Officers found the damaged vehicle belonged to a female that officers had contact with earlier in the day for a roommate dispute. It was determined that the car owner’s former roommate who was involved in the earlier dispute was a female with red hair. Charges are being requested through the Wood County DA.

A 38-year-old Marshfield female reported being assaulted by a 56-year-old Marshfield male at their residence. Officers responded and found the male hiding behind the residence where for several minutes he ignored officers’ commands to surrender before being taken into custody. Charges are being requested through the Wood County D.A’s office.
