Marshfield Police Department Reports – Week of June 6, 2021

June 6

A man and woman were involved in a child custody dispute. The man was warned for his behavior and instructed to not return to the property. CPS was contacted.

Complainant reported a disturbance on Peach Ave. After investigation, a woman was ultimately arrested and transported to Wood County Jail. Charges will be forwarded to Wood County DA.

Subject was arrested in 100 block of Doege St for a Clark County warrant following a traffic stop.

A woman called stating her vehicle was parked on Cedar Ave overnight and when she woke up in the morning her back window was shattered. There were no items of evidentiary value near the scene and she did not have any suspects.

June 7

Complainant reported an unknown female taking a blue plastic laundry basket from Edgewater Drive in Stratford. Surveillance footage was retrieved of the woman with the tote who left in a white sedan. Complainant reported he did not wish to press charges against the female and simply wanted his tote back.

Felker Brothers reported damage to their building. Juveniles were caught on video surveillance in the area of the damage. It appeared a metal pole was used to break out bricks from the building. No charges pressed. Victim’s Rights form issued.

A woman reported that a Marshfield man got loud with her and used profanity after she told the man he couldn’t have a fire pit close to the woods. She also stated that the man’s girlfriend used profanity. All involved parties were told to cease and desist any further contact with each other. The man and woman denied using profanity. Verbal warnings for DC were issued.

June 8

A Granton female was arrested for retail theft after stealing $822.44 worth of items from Wal-Mart. She was brought to MPD where she was booked and released. A request for charges will be sent to the Marathon County DA’s office for retail theft.
