MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – August 13

Marshfield Medical Center security called dispatch to report a male in the parking lot requesting a ride to Norwood. Upon officer arrival the man was intoxicated and had open intoxicant on his person. He was subsequently taken into custody on a valid Price County warrant. The man was transported to Wood County jail. Additional charges of Resisting an Officer and Felony Bail Jumping will be referred to Wood County District Attorney’s office.

A Portage County Sheriff’s Officer requested Marshfield Officers to locate and take into custody a 28-year-old Marshfield male. The male was located and taken into custody without incident. The male was transported the Wood County/Portage County line where he was turned over to a Portage County Deputy.

August 14

A 19-year-old Marshfield female contacted police to report that a subject in another vehicle was shining a green laser at her vehicle and other vehicles on the roadway. The female stated that the subjects intentionally shined the laser into her mirror, which in turn went into her eye. Officers located the vehicle and the two male occupants admitted that they were both shining the laser, but claimed it was only at street signs. Charges are being requested through the Wood County DA.

A man was arrested for a Wisconsin Rapids warrant following a traffic stop. The man was cited for multiple violations and was then transported to the WOSO Jail.

A 25-year-old Kaukauna woman was taken into custody on a valid Wood County warrant during a traffic stop. The woman was transported to Wood County jail along with citations issued for the traffic stop.

August 16

A 17-year-old Marshfield male reported to an officer that a vehicle approached the rear of his vehicle at a high rate of speed and struck the rear bumper. The male stated the vehicle then went around him and fled the scene. The male described the suspect vehicle to be a black BMW, unknown plate. The male stated a younger male driver wearing a blue tank top whom he did not recognize. The BMW will have minor damage to the front bumper.

August 17

A 31-year-old Marshfield male failed to stop following a traffic violation and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit was ended after the male stopped the vehicle and was taken into custody following a high risk stop. Charges are being requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.

An officer reported seeing an impaired female caring for minor children while handling a separate complaint at the above listed location. The female admitted to using Methamphetamine prior to watching her boyfriend’s children while he was away from home. Contact was made with the mother of the children and they were returned to her. Charges are being requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.

A victim reported that an unknown person attempted to use her SSN to obtain unemployment two times using a Wells Fargo direct deposit in Minnesota. The victim did not have any of the paperwork with her but just wanted the incident documented. Currently the Victim is not out any money.

A 33-year-old Marshfield male called 911 advising his ex-girlfriend cut a brake line on his motorcycle and fled the scene into her apartment. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to the involved parties. As a result, a 28-year-old Marshfield female was taken into custody and transported to the Wood County Jail. A request for charges is being forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office for Disorderly Conduct, Obstructing, Criminal Damage to Property and 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety-Domestic Related.

August 19

A 24-year-old Marshfield female reported a disturbance taking place between her and her boyfriend, a 26-year-old Marshfield male. Ultimately, the male was taken into custody for DC I Domestic and Misd. Bail Jumping. He was transported to the Wood County Jail. Charges will be requested through the Wood County DA’s Office.
