Police Reports: Meth, OWI’s, and Traffic Altercations

Marshfield Police Reports October 22-29

October 23

A woman reported she had been in contact with a 39 year-old Marshfield man. She indicated that the man was under the influence of drugs and began masturbating at two separate points. Officers located and interviewed the man. Charges are being requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office. P&P was contacted.

October 24

A man reported he believes a 35 year-old female stole his cell phone as he can not find it. He stated he allowed the female to stay the night at his residence as she is homeless. The current location of the female is unknown. He does not want to pursue charges at this time and he requested the incident to be documented only.

It was reported that a physical domestic abuse incident had occurred. A 72 year-old Marshfield woman admitted to striking victim and causing injury. She was transported to MMC ER and later to Wood County Jail.

A traffic stop was initiated. Following an arrest for operating while intoxicated, a search of the vehicle was conducted and a white powder substance was found as well as drug paraphernalia. Charges will be requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office. See taped report for further details.

Complainant reported an 18 year old Marshfield female violated a TRO by entering the parking lot on West Arnold and almost struck her with her car. They stated the female then drove away yelling obscenities out the window and honking the horn. Officers made contact with the female and an investigation was conducted.

The victim reported several physical altercations with his boyfriend following accusations that the victim was using methamphetamine. Contact was made with both parties and the suspect was arrested for domestic abuse. He was transported to the Marshfield PD for booking procedures then transported to the Wood County Jail.

Officers were requested to check on a vehicle stopped and running in the middle of the roadway. A 33 year-old male was found sleeping in the vehicle and he appeared intoxicated. The male was arrested for OWi 3rd offense and a search located marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The male submitted to a legal blood draw and was released. Charges were requested through Wood County District Attorney’s Office.

October 25

At 12:48pm, a sign was struck on the south side of the roundabout located at Central Ave and Heritage. An unknown vehicle struck the sign while traveling north bound. Vehicle parts were located at the scene and appeared to be a broken driver’s side headlight and broken parts of a front plastic bumper maroon in color. No further information available .

An unknown red pickup truck struck a turn indicator street sign and the mailbox belonging to 701 N. Peach Ave. while traveling northbound on N. Peach Ave . The truck was unable to be located after a search of the area. The street sign and mailbox are estimated to cost $100 each. This report will also be sent to the street department.

October 26

Complainant reported that at their facility a 39-year-old Marshfield male was wanted by probation and has a current hold. The Wood County Jail was contacted and confirmed they would take the male into custody. The male was taken into custody without incident and transported to Wood County Jail on the Probation Hold.

October 28

During a traffic stop a 30 year-old male was arrested for OWI 4th. The male was ultimately released to a responsible party. The male was also out on misdemeanor bond. Citations and request for charges will be sent to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.

An anonymous complainant reported drugs were being used at a residence on S Maple. contact was made with a 31 year-old Marshfield female after the odor of marijuana was detected coming from the residence. The 31 year-old turned over a small amount of marijuana and a pipe. Charges will be forwarded to the Wood County DA Office.
