7.13.19 at 0229: The complainant reported that a 21-year-old male was at her residence, removing property against her consent. Investigation revealed the male had previously lived there and was removing property he claimed was his own. Neillsville Police and the Clark County Sheriff’s Department were contacted to assess if the male’s presence represented a violation of a 72-hour no-contact probation from a recent Domestic Abuse arrest. Since the complainant removed herself to the parking lot after seeing the man there and called police instead of interacting with him, there was no violation. The male gave the keys to the apartment to law enforcement to return to the complainant. A bike was taken to the department for safekeeping so he would not have to return to the property for it at a different time.

7.12.19 at 1838: A Marshfield man reported that while he was at the library his phone had been taken off the table that he had left it on. Video footage captured the incident and a description of the subject was provided. Officers contacted the suspect, a juvenile male, who admitted to the theft and returned the phone to the police, who returned it to the complainant. On the same day, another Marshfield man had reported that his phone had also been taken, and upon investigation, by the same juvenile suspect. The second man’s phone was later returned to him. This report was forwarded to Social Services.

7.12.19: At the stated date, a 50-year-old Athens man was taken into custody for fleeing officers. The male was transported to MMC ER, and subsequently arrested for OWI. The male was transported to MPD for booking procedures, then to Wood County Jail.

Loss Prevention for the store advised that a 41-year-old Marshfield male concealed a bottle of whiskey on his person and left the store. After reviewing footage and further investigation, a request for charges for Retail Theft and Bail Jumping are being forwarded to the Marathon County DA’s office.
