Police Reports: Fentanyl Arrest and OWI With Other Illicit Substances

MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – December 14

A local store employee requested police assistance after a verbal/physical shoving match was witnessed in the parking lot. Both parties involved in the incident did not want anything pursued legally. Management at the business requested that both parties involved be trespassed from the property. Both parties were warned for their behavior and informed not to be on the property, nothing further.

December 23

A traffic accident was reported by a 36-year-old Marshfield man. It was found that a 24-year-old Marshfield man had caused the accident with the complainant’s vehicle. Minor injuries were reported in the vehicle occupied by the complainant and other passengers. The 24-year-old Marshfield man appeared intoxicated and was later arrested for OWI. Illicit substances and drug paraphernalia were also found in the 24-year-old’s solely occupied vehicle. The 24-year-old male was transported to the Marshfield Police Department for booking procedures and later released to a responsible party. Taped report to follow.

December 24

A 54-year-old Marshfield woman reported she withdrew $60 from the self checkout but had forgotten to grab it. An unknown female behind her had taken the money without permission. Contact was later made with this female and a meeting was scheduled between the two parties at the Marshfield Police Department lobby. The female returned the money to the 54-year-old woman in front of an officer. Case closed.

A 35-year-old Marshfield woman reported that on Christmas Eve, herself and a 29-year-old Marshfield male had gotten into a physical altercation over car keys. During the course of this altercation, the male subject allegedly placed his hands on the woman’s arm causing her pain and ultimately leaving bruises. This was reported to officers the next day when this male returned to the above location, caused a disturbance and was subsequently taken into custody. Charges of battery, domestic related, were requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.

December 25

A Marshfield Medical Center security guard reported a 62-year-old Ashland woman assaulted an on-duty nurse. An officer interviewed the woman and she admitted she struck the nurse in the back of the head with a telephone because she was angry. The nurse received medical treatment at MMC Emergency Room. A request for charges for Battery to a Nurse will be forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.

A 37-year-old Marshfield male was subsequently taken into custody for an active arrest warrant. A search of the subject’s vehicle was conducted pursuant to a positive K9 alert and 0.6 grams of suspected fentanyl was located. The subject was transported to the Wood County Jail and charges were requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.

A 28-year-old Marshfield woman reported that she was having a video chat with her ex-boyfriend and his girlfriend began yelling and swearing at her. No threats were made. The complainant showed a video of the chat and it depicted the complainant provoking the ex-girlfriend by making statements against her character. The complainant was advised to not provoke the ex-girlfriend and the ex-girlfriend was warned for her behavior. No further action taken.

December 28

Officers were contacted in regards to a retail theft that occurred at a local grocery store. A 37-year-old Marshfield woman was identified as the suspect and located in the Wal-Mart parking lot a short time later. The woman was ultimately taken into custody for OWI 4th with a minor child, felony bail jumping, misdemeanor bail jumping, and retail theft. The woman was medically cleared and transported to Marathon County Jail. Charges are being requested through both Marathon and Wood County District Attorney’s Offices. Wood County Human Services was also contacted in regards to this matter.
