1.9.20 at 0739
A 48-year-old Marshfield man reported a Pittsville woman who was staying with him temporarily took two cell phones from his residence while he was at a doctor’s appointment. The phones do not have data plans currently and the female is refusing to return the man’s phone calls. Officers will attempt contact with the female to inquire about the stolen phones. Pictures of the phones packaging and receipts were uploaded to evidence. Contact was made with the suspect who admitted to having the phones. The phones were returned but damaged. Citations were issued.

1.10.20 at 0728
Officers were called to a location on South Central Ave for a report of a suitcase with multiple items that were thrown in the backyard. One of the neighbors reported they heard a disturbance last night. Contact was made with a 30-year-old male who said he was now home alone and house sitting. The male admitted that he had an argument with his father who was now gone. The male would not allow officers inside to ensure everything was okay. Contact was made with the homeowner who confirmed the male was house sitting.

1.10.20 at 2314
Marshfield dispatch received two 911 calls in reference to a female yelling for help and the sounds of a physical disturbance at a residence on S. Adams Ave. Upon officers arrival a 29-year-old woman had injuries and a 26-year-old Marshfield man was taken into custody. The female was transported to MMC ER for medical treatment. Charges referred to Wood County District Attorney’s office for the man regarding False Imprisonment, Strangulation, and Battery. He was subsequently transported to Wood County jail.

1.10.20 at 2102
A 34-year-old Marshfield male was seen consuming an intoxicating beverage in a tavern during a routine tavern check. The man has a condition of bond which requires he maintain absolute sobriety and not enter any establishment which serves alcohol. The man was taken into custody, booked and released. A misdemeanor charge of Bail Jumping is being requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s office.

1.11.20 at 1559
A 48-year-old Marshfield man reported that his vehicle was struck while at a location on S. Central Ave by an unknown vehicle. The man stated his vehicle was parked and unattended when it was struck. Damage consisted of a broken tail lamp and a cracked rear bumper. Unknown suspect vehicle.

1.11.20 at 2031
A Marshfield woman reported an orange stray cat on her back porch on 1.10.20. She secured it and checked with neighbors. There was no microchip. The cat is secured at MAPS.

1.12.20 at 1545
A 48-year-old Marshfield man called to report he found a 54-year-old Marshfield female deceased in her apartment on W. Veterans Parkway. The coroner’s office was called to the scene. The deceased was removed by Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home.

1.13.20 at 1444
78-year-old Marshfield woman reported sending $1,580 in Ebay Gift Card currency to unknown individuals fraudulently requesting it via telephone. All gift cards were photo-copied and inventoried in evidence.

A Marshfield woman reported finding a used syringe in her residence. The syringe was collected and placed into evidence. Investigation to continue.

1.13.20 at 0742
An unknown person(s) drew several vulgar images and phrases on a Marshfield woman’s garage doors with some type of green paint and threw eggs at the house. The doors were not technically damaged as the paint seemed to wash off easily. There are no suspects and no other residences in the area were targeted. A neighborhood canvas was conducted with no helpful results.
