Plover Black Sox Takes Early Lead In Victory Over Sheboygan Legion

Plover Black Sox jumped out to an early lead over Sheboygan Legion and took home a 7-2 victory on Friday.

Plover Black Sox scored on a double by Thomas Hunt in the first inning, a triple by Drew Kedrowicz in the second inning, a single by Hunt in the second inning, and a single by Marcus Jaworski in the second inning.

Plover Black Sox pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Kedrowicz tripled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs, Hunt singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs, and Jaworski singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.

Jake Sankey earned the win for Plover Black Sox. The pitcher went six innings, allowing two runs on six hits and striking out eight. Cyle Zblewski threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Peyton Voight took the loss for Sheboygan Legion. The bulldog allowed five hits and six runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out three.

Hunt led Plover Black Sox with two hits in three at bats.

Caleb Salm went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Sheboygan Legion in hits.
