OnFocus – Earlier this week, a plane safely made an emergency landing on 35W near St. Paul. The pilot, Craig Gifford, along with nearby drivers, were unharmed.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation shared the impressive landing on social media:
“In case you missed it: A plane landed on 35W last night. (Yes, really!)
While this isn’t *quite* what we mean by a “multimodal transportation system,” we’re glad no one was injured and are impressed by the pilot’s effort to zipper merge from above!”

Federal authorities have opened an investigation into the incident.
