Pittsville Upsets #5 Almond-Bancroft

The Pittsville Panthers went on the road and upset the #5 team in the state in Division 5 Almond-Bancroft 63-51, handing the Eagles their first conference loss of the year.

Pittsville trailed at the half by one but came back and outscored the Eagles 13 in the second half.

The Panthers were led by Matthew Kissner with 23 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 assists. Noah Calverley added 11 points, Landyn Wayerski and Eric Neve added 10 each.

Almond-Bancroft was led by Seth Bunders with 14.

Pittsville moves to 13-4 overall, 6-3 in the Central Wisconsin South, putting them in third place.

Pittsville next heads to Port Edwards on Feb. 13th
