PITTSVILLE, WI (OnFocus) – Pittsville Area Community Theater is going big in their return to the stage this summer with Neil Simon’s “Plaza Suite”, giving audiences a taste of Broadway-caliber comedy and romance to spice up the summer.

“It’s an extremely exciting show to do because it’s a Broadway favorite. It’s been doing very well in New York with Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick starring in the revival,” said Andrew Spencer, Director at Pittsville Area Community Theater. “We’re definitely having a blast bringing the Plaza to life here in Wisconsin.”

Bringing Communities Together with Art

Local talent abounds in “Plaza Suite”. Greg Jackan, local favorite and Marshfield resident, takes three leading roles, and executes each with great panache. His four love interests are Roxie Wetterau of Marshfield, Amber Guldan of Vesper, Emma Tolzmann of Pittsville, and Nancy Halterman of Neillsville. Supporting cast include PACT member Todd Prosser of Neillsville, and PACT freshmen Carl Lundgren of Auburndale and Cayley Gosney of Pittsville.

“We’ve got a talented cast from many age groups and from all over the area,” said Andrew Spencer, Director. “I’m biased, but they have great chemistry and are so fun to watch that I find myself laughing along instead of directing. That’s a good sign!”

“Plaza Suite” Revealed

Set in New York’s most famous hotel, “Plaza Suite” reveals the secret truths of three couples who stay in the lavish Suite 719 – the good, the bad, and the hilarious. Pittsville Area Community Theater aims to rebound after a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19 with a crowd-pleasing good time. “Plaza Suite” tickets are available online right now at Eventbrite.com for $12, and same day at the door for $15.

“Plaza Suite” is performed at the Pittsville Auditorium, 5459 Elementary Ave, Pittsville WI 54466. The show spans two weekends and has 3 evening performances and 3 matinee performances:
