Pacelli, Auburndale, Assumption advance to State Cross Country Meet

The Pacelli Cardinal Boys, and the Assumption and Auburndale girls advanced to the WIAA Division 3 State Cross Country Meet to be held at the Maple Grove Venues in West Salem.

On the boy’s side, Pacelli won the meet with a score of 36, finishers included Gabe Hoerter who finished 1st, Adam Eiden who finished 3rd, Sam Grywacz in 12th, Isaac Kosobucki in 15th, Ben Haemmerle in 18th, Nolan Wochick in 31st, and Sam Carpenter in 33rd.

St. Mary Central of Neenah also qualified as a team for state.

Individual Qualifiers for the boys are Carl Lundgren of Auburndale who finished 2nd, Matthew Seeber of Laona/Wabeno in 4th, Andrew Scheer of Columbus Catholic in 6th, Nathan Kropidlowski of Rosholt in 7th, and Robert Vater of Iola-Scandinavia in 8th

In the girl’s race, Assumption and Auburndale advanced as a team.

Assumption finishers included Ainara Sainz de Rozas in 5th overall, Cristin Casey in 9th, Grace Dolan in 10th, Clara Kubis in 14th, Maddie Meinel in 19th, Grace Hoffman in 26th, and Sam Nelson in 27th. Assumption had a team score of 33.

Auburndale finishers included Jordyn Karl in 6th overall, Mckeena Zieher in 15th, Erricka Zenner in 16th, Autumn Richardson in 20th, Lily Kloos in 21st, Victoria Hasenhorl in 23rd, and Annalise Jewell in 24th.

Individual Qualifiers include Abby Bartel of Weyauwega-Fremont who finished 1st overall, Kallie Volk of Three Lakes who was 2nd, Kaela Groppel of St. Mary Central in 3rd, Julianna Thurs of Marathon in 4th, and Sophia Bablitch of Rosholt in 6th.
