OnFocus Season Preview: Owen-Withee Blackhawks Cross Country

Coaching staff: Brian Lewison – 2nd time around as head coach at O-W. Previously head coach from 2011-2020

Key returners: Boys – Colton Paczkowski (Jr.) – 8th at the Division 3 sectional last year, missing a state trip by one place. Steven Negron (Jr.) and Connor Hanson (So.) Girls – no returners

Key newcomers: Boys – Nick Dambeck (Fr.) Girls – Adelynn Petersen (Fr.) and Riah Renderman (Fr.)

Conference outlook: Bloomer – the Cloverbelt is all about Bloomer. Girls return everyone from their Division 2 runner-up squad of last year and their boys were also state qualifiers as a team. McDonell Boys and Regis Girls look to be ahead of the rest of the conference in early season meets.

Keys to your success this season: Staying healthy and improving. Paczkowski has finished first or second in all of his races so far this season.
