Sarah A. Biechler, 84, Surprise, Arizona, passed away on October 12, 2021 surrounded by her family at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Douglas Robertson officiating. The service will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. The visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday at Rembs Funeral Home and from 9:00 am until service time at 11:00 am on Tuesday at Our Lady of Peace Church. A rosary service will be held at 6:30 pm on Monday at the funeral home.

Sarah was born on December 30, 1936 in Marshfield, to James E. and Helen B. (Welch) Wilcott and was a 1954 graduate of Columbus High School and then attended Alverno College in Milwaukee.  She was united in marriage to William L. Biechler on July 14, 1956 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.

Sarah held a cosmetology license, worked as a travel agent and in various retail positions. She was a dedicated passionate volunteer who served at Guernsey Memorial Hospital and Red Carpet Health Care Center, both in Cambridge, Ohio. While in Cambridge she also was a faithful volunteer at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church serving as a Eucharistic Minister, on the finance committee as well as other capacities within the church.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bill and their six children, Eugene (Sheryl) Biechler of Cornelius, NC, Bryan (Karen) Biechler of St. Charles, MO, Carla Biechler of Lakeside, AZ, Amy (Robert) Keiser of Buckeye, AZ, Ellen (Richard) Matoushek, Goodyear, AZ, and Mary (Dan) Wirth of Eureka, MO. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister-in-law, Arlene Wilcott of Marshfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, James W. Wilcott, a sister, Mary “Barney” Brunner, and a nephew, Mike Brunner.

Memorials may be designated in Sarah’s name to St. Vincent de Paul.
