Obituary for Ronald Pilsner

Ronald F. Pilsner, 78, Marshfield, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Rembs Funeral Home with visitation from 9:00 am until service time. Rev. Keith Kitzhaber will officiate. The service will be streamed online at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Marshfield where military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 54 – Marshfield.

Ron was born on August 24, 1944 in Marshfield to Gary and Jane (Berg) Pilsner. He graduated from Columbus Catholic High School in 1962. He then served in the United States Army for 3 years. On May 21, 1966 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Drechsler at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Pittsville.

Ron owned and operated Pilsner Sausage Shop in Marshfield. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, woodworking, and camping in Hatfield where he made many friends. Ron loved watching the Green Bay Packers and was a season ticket holder. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy and sons, Steve (Tracey) Pilsner, Jim (Tammy) Pilsner, Danny (Jodi) Pilsner, and Mike (Kelly) Pilsner. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Chloe, Alex, Riley, Logan, Lucas, Liberty, Thomas, Todd, (Lindsey), Brooklyn, Lil Todd, Lillian, and Rhea. He is further survived by his sister, Carol Adler and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Hank Drechsler, Harry Drechsler, Joe (Bev) Drechsler, John (Sharon) Drechsler, Marie (Bill) Feigel, Carl (Mary Beth) Drechsler, and Margaret Hamers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gary and Jane Pilsner, son, Chad Pilsner, father- and mother-in-law, Henry and Lena Drechsler, brothers-in-law, Jerry Adler and Roger Hamers, sister-in-law, Mary Drechsler, and nephew, Marc Adler.
