Regina M. Anderson

Regina M. Anderson, 92, Marshfield, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Marshfield Medical Center.

Regina was born on July 5, 1928, in Athens, WI, to John and Clara (Lake) Teresinski. She was one of eight children and had two sisters and five brothers. She was united in marriage to Robert Anderson in 1948 and they later divorced in 1973. From that marriage were born six children, Dale, Dennis, Mary, Carol, James, and John.

Regina began her adult married life as a homemaker. From sunrise to sunset her kids kept her occupied in as many ways as they could possibly find. Later on, as her children aged, she started her working career outside of her home. First at the Patio Restaurant and then her remaining years up to retirement at Marshfield Homes. During her retirement years, she enjoyed fishing trips with a group of her friends and her greatest joy of playing bingo. She played locally at the Eagles Club and St. John’s Parish and then trips to casino bingo. She enjoyed this time with her daughter Carol mostly. There was a mother/daughter bond between them that others could only envy to have. They were best friends that looked out for each other until the end of both of their lives.

There are some fortunate ones in our family who have inherited her giving and kind heart. Our mother would help anyone and give anything she had, material value or monetary to help someone in need, fully knowing she would now have to go without. She always gave of her time to others and made a point of cheering them up and listening to any issue they were dealing with. She was a very kind soul. Personally, it gives me great pleasure seeing that in some family members. Knowing it will live on in others now that she has passed.

She is survived by sons Dennis of Laredo, TX, John of Starks, NV, and James (Jane) of Marshfield and a daughter, Mary (Jim) Lyons of West Plains, MO. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Katrina, Jolette, Nathan, Christine, Maria, Tabatha, Kevin, Kim, Lori, Jenny, and Cheryl, and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, a son Dale Anderson, a daughter, Carol (Ed) Jones, and sons-in-law Edward Jones and William Bean.

The family wishes to thank three groups. First, the medical teams and care personnel at Marshfield Medical Center Emergency Room, 7th floor, and anyone that administered comfort and care to our mother the last week of her life. Second, the employees of Forward Financial that made our mother enjoy each and every visit she made there while she was still able to. You brought joy to her life with every encounter. Lastly, the employees of the care facility she was a resident of the last three years. What an amazing team of people. You all made my mother feel safe and part of a family, as she missed her family. Frequent visits from us did not fill the void in her life of a constant family. You all did. There is absolutely no way we can ever thank you enough. But thank you from all of us.

We wish no memorials or donations. A memorial that could be given in her honor is to do what she always did. Help someone in need when they need it more than yourself.

Services will be held at a later date in August due to COVID. An announcement will be given prior to that time.
