Phyllis E. Madison, 80, Marshfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Three Oaks Health Services, surrounded by family.
Memorial services will be held at Center City Church at 11 am on Monday, September 10 with a visitation from 9 am until service time at the church. Reverend Pat Bousum will be officiating. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Phyllis was born on February 12, 1938 in Missouri to Lee and Verbal (Palfreeman) Gibson.
She was happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends, no matter what the activity. If she wasn’t at home her second favorite place was at Center City Church in Marshfield, WI and was a member from the start and heavily involved prior to entering the nursing home. Her love for the Green Bay Packers was unmatched and you could always count on her wearing a Packers sweatshirt when visiting her. One of her favorite things to collect was cookie jars and one point had over 400 jars.
Phyllis is survived by her sons, Timothy Allen Madison and Daniel Lee Madison. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren: David Madison, Allen Madison, Katina Vesely, Canon Madison and 7 great grandchildren. She is further survived by 2 siblings, Versa Smith and Alice Lands.
She was predeceased by her parents, daughter, Jane Madison, and sister, Betty Harrison.
