Mike Glenn LeGrand, 64, passed away peacefully with his wife at his side after fighting a year-long battle with cancer on Saturday, December 4, 2021.

A visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, where a memorial service will be held at 7:30 pm on Friday. Mike’s brother-in-law, Deacon Ray Draeger will officiate.

Mike was born on July 19, 1957 in Nebraska to Pete and Pat (Rice) LeGrand. He was a 1975 graduate of Columbus High School. He was united in marriage to Gerri (Draeger) on May 29, 1981 at Corpus Christi Church in Bakerville.

Mike was a man of few words but had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed watching TV shows, movies, and sports, playing cards like Poker but especially Cribbage. He was rather fond of drinking a cold Pabst Blue Ribbon or just plain iced tea. Mike’s true passion was to drive truck. Over the years he drove for various companies, lastly being Marshfield Book and Stationery where he worked until his illness. He was very involved with his family and treasured spending time with them and creating memories.

He is survived by his wife, Gerri and two daughters, Sara LeGrand and Amanda (Derek) Spatz, along with three granddaughters Carmen Hutchins, Emma and Clara Spatz.  He is also survived by siblings, a sister Michelle (Brian) Boehnen, brothers Mark (Myra) LeGrand, Marty (Lori) LeGrand and Mitch (Ruth) LeGrand.  He is further survived by his in-laws Ron (Marcia) Draeger, Georgene (Gene) Donnerbaur, Rudy (Louann) Draeger, Randy (Sharon) Draeger, Ray (Joey) Draeger, Roger (Carrie) Draeger, Rusty (Marsha) Draeger, Gayle (Gerry) Peterson, Grace (Tom) Herkert and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Pete and Pat LeGrand, a sister Lizbeth LeGrand in infancy, parents-in-law George and Delores Draeger and nephews Patrick LeGrand and Jonathon Draeger in infancy.

The family would like to give their thanks and gratitude to Mike’s medical team at Marshfield Medical Center and the staff at Heartland Hospice.
