Kenefic, OK – passed away unexpectedly in the evening hours of Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at Medical City Dallas comforted by the love of his life at the age of 51.
On June 26, 2020, he was diagnosed with cancer and had a biopsy CT which showed that a tumor had consumed his entire lung. Within a week, the tumor had grown so fast that it started putting pressure on his organs and on July 7th a biopsy was shown that he had HI grade Malignant Perivascular Epithelioid Neoplasm which is a very rare form of cancer. He was only the 9th person in the world to be diagnosed with this cancer. The doctors attempted chemotherapy and radiation to no avail as the cancer had spread to his liver, heart, and brain thus taking him home to our Lord.
A small, private service was held by family to honor Mike and a Rockin’ Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at a later date to give Mike one last farewell to truly honor his wishes.
Mike was born on July 31, 1968, in Sheboygan, Wisc., the son of Gary and Mary (Fisher) Weinfurtner. He was united in marriage to his soulmate, Diane Morzewski, on August 4, 2001, in Marshfield, Wisc.
